Hey there, I’m Light Watkins, an author, speaker, and a long-time practitioner and teacher of Vedic meditation.
I started dabbling in meditation in the mid-90’s, but it wasn’t until 2003 that I found my groove. That’s when I met my meditation teacher, and I saw what a huge difference having a teacher made in my meditation experiences. Within a few days, I went from liking the idea of meditating but hating the actual experience of it, to becoming a meditation enthusiast. And in the process, I discovered my passion, which is to introduce others to what I still consider to be the easiest style of meditating for “regular” people (meaning, non-monks).
I teach people from all walks of life how to meditate in a way that feels enjoyable.

There’s nothing special about me when it comes to meditation. I hated it for years, but kept trying different approaches until I found the style that suited my lifestyle which, for me, was Vedic meditation. Having a Vedic meditation teacher to show me the best practices was a game-changer, and now I help others find the joy in meditation.
